45 Years. 45 Days. One Defining Decision Every Day.

As Antigua and Barbuda marks its 45th Independence Sapphire Jubilee and prepares to host the 28th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM 2026), 45 Moments serves as the sovereign national retrospective bridging homeland and diaspora.

Running from 17 September through 31 October 2026, the initiative revisits forty-five years of sovereign statehood—one calendar year per day, counting up from 1981 to 2026. Every morning at 8:00 AM AST, a curated ballot of three historical milestones across civic governance, sporting triumphs, infrastructural leaps, and cultural breakthroughs is published for open public debate. Voting closes daily at 8:00 PM AST, with the winning entry permanently gazetted into the crowdsourced People’s 45-Year Archive.

Why 45 Moments Matters

  • Rescuing Cultural Memory from the Algorithm: Social media feeds bury heritage within 48 hours. 45 Moments provides a permanent, verified home for our modern history.

  • A Single Transatlantic Stage: Whether living in St. John’s, Codrington, London, New York, Miami, or Toronto, every citizen and heritage descendant holds an equal vote in defining national milestones.

  • The Living Monograph: On 1 November 2026, the final curated timeline will be bound into an official commemorative national archive presented to schools, public libraries, and diplomatic missions.

Don't let history be written without you. Debate with family, engage alumni networks, and cast your official vote daily on the ABDiaspora Hub.
